Event overview
The 4th Annual 1in5K Dyslexia Dash is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Freestone District Park on East Juniper Avenue in Gilbert, AZ. The event is organized by IDA Arizona and managed by StartLine Racing. The dash is presented as a community event to raise awareness of dyslexia and to support Structured Literacy; IDA Arizona is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event lists a fundraising goal of $5,000 for IDA Arizona.
Participation and logistics

- 100-yard Kids Dash (untimed)
- Virtual Run
All participants receive a custom finisher's medal and a custom dri-fit tech t-shirt; there is an option to decline a shirt for a $5 discount. The Kids Dash participants will receive a shirt and a medal. The 5K is chip timed with real time results and event photos. Age group awards are given to the top three in each listed age group for the 5K. Course maps are available for the 5K and the Kids Dash. Race day registration and packet pick-up are available at Freestone Park. Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are welcome but must start at the back; bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not allowed on the course. Leashed pets are permitted. The event takes place rain or shine and there are no refunds for weather. Virtual registrations are restricted to US addresses and virtual packets are mailed the week following the event.
