Achilles Long Island 4k and 8k
The event takes place on Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Wantagh, New York at Jones Beach State Park near the Jones Beach bandshell. It is organized by the Long Island chapter of Achilles International, which provides athletic programs and social connection for people with disabilities. The organization states that since 1983 it has empowered over 150,000 athletes of all ages and ability levels to participate in endurance events.

Both courses start near the Jones Beach bandshell and head west along the boardwalk. Entry for each event is listed at $40; the price increases after November 15, 2025 at 11:59pm EST. There is a strict 1 hour 40 minute cutoff for the 8k; participants who do not reach the 4k turnaround (2 km) by 25 minutes will be re-routed onto the 4k course. Early packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, November 15 from noon until 4pm at Sayville Running Company (temporary location: 35 Overton St, Sayville, NY 11782, warehouse behind the house). Race day packet pickup will be available at Jones Beach near the bandshell. Awards are given in 10-year age groups and challenged groups.
