The Active Texan Tinsel Trot : Overview
The event is the second annual Active Texan Tinsel Trot, held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Lake Walk Pavilion, 4107 Lake Atlas Drive, Bryan, TX 77807. The event program includes the following race distances:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile family fun run
Races are professionally chip-timed. All participants receive a finisher medal. Runners in the 5K and 10K also receive an official race t-shirt and sponsor swag. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K.
Logistics and on-site features
On-site features listed for the event include live music, food trucks, hot chocolate, festive games, selfie stations, and a post-race celebration on the Green. The route is described as being lit by streetlights; glow sticks and bracelets will be provided to participants. Headlamps are recommended for 10K runners because portions of the course occur after dark. Information about packet pickup, course maps, and parking will be shared prior to the event.
