Event overview
The American Heroes race takes place on May 23, 2026, in Bellevue, Nebraska (zip 68005). The event offers three distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
Entry fees listed are $55 for the half marathon, $45 for the 10K, and $32 for the 5K. Registration includes professional timing, a race shirt, a custom finisher medal, snacks, age-group awards, and top finisher awards. Shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for registrations received after May 1, 2026.
Logistics and course
The start and finish are at a park located at 2502 Payne Dr., Bellevue. The courses use parts of American Heroes Park, Old Towne Bellevue, and the Keystone Trail. Terrain includes city streets, paved trail, and dirt roads. Aid stations are provided approximately every 2 miles. The overall time limit for the event is 4 hours.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Peak Performance, 3512 Samson Way Suite 212, Bellevue, and there is also race day pickup. Parking at the park is limited; overflow parking will be at American Heroes Park, north of Mission Ave. The race is scheduled to be held rain or shine; it may be canceled or postponed if conditions present a potential danger.
