About the race
The Anacortes Santa Run is a festive 5k event held in Anacortes, Washington, featuring a flat and scenic course around Cap Sante Marina. Every participant receives a full Santa suit to wear during the run, creating a unique and joyful visual of Santas running through town. The event includes a timed 5k race starting at Seafarers Park, with a route along the Tommy Thompson Trail, Rotary Park, and the marina.
Additional features include Christmas carols at the group start, cookies, coffee, hot cocoa, finishers medals, and a prize of a gallon of eggnog for the first male and female finishers. A special "Beat the Elves" challenge pits runners against local high school cross country athletes starting five minutes later. There is also a kids’ dash called "Run with Rudolph," an 800-yard run with festive swag.
