Andy Buschmann 4-Mile Classic

The Andy Buschmann 4-Mile Classic takes place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Batesville, Arkansas (500 E Main St, 72501). This is the 47th running of the event. The course is 4-mile, USATF certified, and is included in the RRCA Arkansas Grand Prix XLII Series for 2025. Proceeds are donated to local charities serving Independence County. The race was formerly known under other names and is now named for a local runner.

Logistics and awards

The race starts and finishes on Main Street with parking and setup near City Hall. There is ample parking at City Hall and in nearby Main Street lots. Chip timing is provided by OK Timing Plus. The route runs downhill through Batesville's historic residential and downtown districts and includes a couple of substantial climbs through nearby neighborhoods.

Early packet pickup is at the First Baptist Church West Annex on Friday, Oct 17 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Race day packet pickup is at the same location starting at 6:30 am. Registration cost is $35; all runners and walkers receive a race shirt. Race day registration is available from 6:30-7:30 am. If the race is canceled, entries will be deferred to the 2026 race and no refunds will be issued. The event is expected to run rain or shine, but may be delayed, canceled, or have course changes for severe weather conditions; light to moderate rain is not considered adverse.
