Angry Tortoise 25K/50K : Feb 21, 2026, Bryceville, FL
The Angry Tortoise trail run takes place on Feb 21, 2026 at 7465 Pavilion Rd in Cary State Forest on the outskirts of Jacksonville. The event offers two race distances and is described as running through the flatwoods of the forest. Registration closes Sun, Feb 22 @ 11:59 PM ET. Registrations received after 12:00 PM on Feb 1, 2026 are not guaranteed a race shirt.
Course, support and facilities
The course is on forest roads through flatwoods and has well-supported aid stations. Both distances have an eight-hour cut-off. The site near the start/finish includes male and female restrooms with a free hot shower. Lunch is provided for runners after the race. A course map and race video are available from the organizer.

Awards are given in each distance to first, second and third overall male and female. Additional awards are given to first male and female masters (40-49), first male and female grandmasters (50-69) and first male and female senior grandmasters (70 and over).
