Event overview
The Anthem Sprint Triathlon is a reverse-order sprint triathlon taking place at the Anthem Community Center in Anthem, Arizona on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The format places the run first, then the bike, and finishes with a pool swim. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon; every participant must either hold an annual USAT membership or purchase a one-day membership.
Courses and distances
The adult course uses an out-and-back run on the sidewalk, a three-loop 20 km bike route on designated lanes, and a pool swim completed in two cycles of the lane pattern. Helmets are required for any participant on the bike route. Pool rules require feet-first entries and no diving.
- Adult: Run 3.1 miles, Bike 20 km, Swim 400 m
- Kids: Run 1/2 mile, Bike 4.5 miles, Swim 200 m
Overflow parking is available at a nearby community park.
Registration, timing and awards
Entry fees vary by registration date. The race package includes a long-sleeve hoodie by District unless the participant opts out for a discount, post-race refreshments, and finisher medals. Timing uses RFID ankle chips that must be worn and returned after the event. Awards include overall top three male and female finishers, top three in age groups (10-14 up to 80+), top three relays, and top three in Clydesdale and Athena categories.
