Course and logistical details
All races use a USATF-certified 0.988178 mile concrete loop around the Turf Picnic area. Total elevation gain is about 6 feet per loop with a maximum elevation near 923 feet. The course is marked with cones and flagging. There are timing mats on the loop and a timing tent located north of the aid station. A fully stocked aid station operates on course 24 hours with staple items and prepared meals; a water refill station is on the opposite end of the loop. Pacers are not permitted. Crews have a designated area and personal drop bags along the course; for the USATF championship, crew tents must remain within 100 meters of the main aid station. Camping is available for a fee in an overflow area about 400 feet from the course; parking incurs a $7 per car per day park entry fee. There are no venue lights at night.
