Armed Forces Endurance Run
The Armed Forces Endurance Run (AFER) is a timed endurance event designed to honor active duty service members and veterans, with a focus on a different military branch each year; this year, it honors the Marines. Set in Bixler Lake Park, Kendallville, IN, participants can choose from 6, 12, or 24-hour races, running on a scenic 3-mile loop that includes both asphalt and trail sections. The event features individual and relay options, as well as a ruck division.
Runners receive unique finisher medals and awards based on their mileage, with camping available for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
