Armstrong Valley Wine Run 5k
The Armstrong Valley Wine Run 5k takes place at Armstrong Valley Winery, 212 Rutter Rd, Halifax, PA. The event is scheduled for March 15, 2026. The distance is 5k and the race is chip timed with results posted online.
Course, registration and awards
The course is a new layout introduced for 2024. It starts and finishes near the parking area and tours two vineyards. The route is cross country style with areas of uneven footing and some inclines. Walking is allowed, strollers are permitted but not recommended because of the ground conditions, and dogs are not allowed on site due to USDA restrictions for the produce and vegetable farm.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible portable wine glass, a finisher medal, and a race bib. Participants receive a pour of wine; minors may participate with a discounted registration but do not receive the wine glass or wine. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event.
The event offers age group awards for the top three finishers in each category. Age categories are in 10-year bands from 19 & under up to 80 & over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards; awards are available for pickup on the day of the event only. The listed charity partner is Nik’s Wish.
