Registration, fees, and organization
Registration closes on Mon, Dec 1 at 11:59 PM CT. Entry is limited to keep check points and trail solitude; preference is given to race veterans and past volunteers. Applications are reviewed and acceptance is confirmed through Ultrasignup; applicants are not billed until they confirm acceptance.
Organized by volunteers, leftover entry fees after expenses are donated to charity. Beneficiaries include the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, the Falls Food Shelf, and local bike donations. The race generally does not offer refunds; if the race is canceled, roughly $150 of an entry fee is refunded and the remainder is used for fixed costs and charitable donations.
