Arthur E. Schumacher Memorial 5K

The Arthur E. Schumacher Memorial 5K Race is held annually in Valley City, Ohio, at 6700 Center Road, as part of the Valley City Street Fair. This event honors the memory of Assistant Chief Arthur Schumacher, who lost his life during a water rescue in 1992.

The race features a challenging 5K course with 135 feet of elevation change, winding through Mill Stream Park and scenic neighborhoods. Alongside the 5K run/walk, there is also a 1-mile fun walk. Proceeds support the Arthur E.
