Arthur E. Schumacher Memorial 5K

The Arthur E. Schumacher Memorial 5K Race is a community event held annually in Valley City, Ohio, to honor the memory of Assistant Chief Arthur Schumacher, who tragically lost his life during a water rescue in 1992. Organized by the Valley City Firefighters Association, the race features a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile fun walk, with proceeds supporting a scholarship fund for local firefighters pursuing education in fire and emergency medical services.
