Asheville Hot Chocolate Races

Website

The Asheville Hot Chocolate Races, held annually in Asheville, North Carolina, is a family-friendly winter running event benefiting the Isaac Dickson Elementary School PTO. Celebrating its 18th year in 2026, the race offers multiple distances including a chip-timed Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and two untimed kids' fun runs: a 1K Hill Climb and a Marshmallow Dash. The course features a scenic route along the French Broad River with a downhill start and an uphill finish.

Post-race festivities include a party with music, vendors, snacks, and hot chocolate from local sponsors. The event fosters community spirit while supporting local education. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
