Asheville Hot Chocolate Races
The Asheville Hot Chocolate Races, held annually in Asheville, North Carolina, is a popular winter running event benefiting the Isaac Dickson Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization. Since 2008, it has grown into a family-friendly race offering multiple distances: a chip-timed 5K, 10K, and half marathon, along with untimed kids' fun runs including a 1K Hill Climb and a Marshmallow Dash. The course features a scenic route along the French Broad River, starting downhill and finishing uphill near Isaac Dickson Elementary School.
After the race, participants enjoy a festive post-race party with music, local vendors, snacks, and signature hot chocolate made from local artisan chocolate and fresh milk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
