Atlanta Fat Ass 50K

Atlanta Fat Ass is an annual, low-key ultramarathon held at Sweetwater Creek State Park in Lithia Springs, Georgia. The event offers 50K and 25K options and promotes a post-holiday, no-frills atmosphere that GUTS describes as “burn off those pounds.” Runners tackle six laps on white trail loops (counter-clockwise) with a few hills and rocky sections, including Jack’s stairs; poles are allowed and the course is well marked. Start/finish is at the Group Shelter, with park parking fees in effect.

A FatAss Crockpot Chili Contest adds a social post-race element. The race is limited to current GUTS members. Volunteers support the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
