Event details
The Atlanta Mission 5K Race to End Homelessness is scheduled for February 14, 2026 and takes place at Pemberton Place Greenspace. A virtual option is available. The event distance is 5K. The in-person course is USATF certified (GA17079WC) and is one of the last Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race qualifiers before registration opens for the 2026 AJC Peachtree Road Race.
Atlanta Mission is the event organizer. The organization operates four shelter campuses in Metro Atlanta and Northeast Georgia and identifies itself as the city’s largest and longest-running provider of services to people experiencing homelessness.
Fundraising and impact
The registration fee for the race will cover one night of shelter and services for someone who would otherwise spend the night in the cold on the streets. The event includes a peer-to-peer fundraising program called the Miles for Hope Challenge. Participants who raise $500 through an individual fundraising page (not a team page) or who commit to monthly giving as a Restoration Partner (from $5/month) receive an exclusive 5K sweatshirt. The page lists several ways donations are used, including shelter, meals, trauma-informed mental health care, vocational training, and community support.
