Avalon Benefit 50 Mile Run

The Avalon Benefit 50 Mile/50K Run takes place on Catalina Island, with starts and finishes in the town of Avalon. It is California’s oldest Ultra Trail Run, with the 50‑mile race in its 43rd year and the 50K added six years ago. The course traverses all of Catalina’s trails—from Avalon to the island’s far reaches and back—offering dramatic ocean views, challenging climbs, and occasional wildlife sightings such as a bison.
