Awaken

Awaken is a community running event in Port Charlotte, Florida, hosted by Awaken Church at 390 Flamingo Rd. It features the Awaken Outreach 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. The flat, well-marked course runs on local county streets.

The 5K is chip-timed and includes a finisher medal and T-shirt; the 1 Mile is timed as well. Check-in begins for runners, the 5K proceeds with walkers following, and awards are given after the last participant crosses. Proceeds support the Outreach center’s food pantry, Community Days, and disaster relief, with a silent auction, raffle, and snacks for participants.
