Back 9 Endurance Run
The Back 9 Endurance Run is a unique 12- or 24-hour endurance race held at the historic Keweenaw Mountain Lodge in Copper Harbor, Michigan. Participants run a 3.68-mile loop that weaves through wooded trails and the lodge’s wilderness golf course, offering scenic views of Brockway Mountain and Lake Superior. The event takes place within the Keweenaw Dark Sky Park, the only dark sky park in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, requiring runners to use headlamps.
Competitors can race solo or in teams of two or four, with only one runner on the course at a time. The race emphasizes self-sufficiency, safety, and a fun, supportive atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
