The 2025 Back the Blue 5k is the 5th annual running event in Deer Park, Texas. It is a 5k (3.1 miles) run/walk held at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center on October 18, 2025. The event is a fundraising race with all proceeds going to the Deer Park Police Officer's Association.
Registration and logistics
There is no day-of race registration; online registration closes at 10:00pm CST on October 17. The first 300 registrations are chip timed, and the first 300 finishers receive a race medal. The deadline to receive a race shirt with registration is October 1 at 07:00am CST; unclaimed shirts may be sold at the race. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 17 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center; day-of packets must be picked up by 7:30am on race day. Dogs are not allowed unless they are registered medical assistance canines. Strollers are permitted and a child who remains in a stroller for the entire race does not need a separate registration. Registrations are final; there are no refunds or transfers. A post-race festival is planned with indoor vendors, a silent auction, a BBQ cook off and plates for sale, a kids play zone, music, and raffles.
