Back2school 5k

The Back2School 5K is an annual benefit run held in Florence, South Carolina, supporting the South Florence High School Cross Country Team. The event takes place at the Florence Family YMCA Friendship Park, featuring a fast, flat 5K course through the nearby neighborhood. Participants can walk or run, and dogs on leashes are welcome.

Runners receive a race shirt (while supplies last) and a finisher medal. Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers, masters (40+), and top age group competitors. Funds raised help cover team expenses and purchase training gear, making it a community-focused event promoting fitness and school spirit.
