About the race
The Rabid Raccoon 25k, hosted by Bad Beard Events, is a challenging trail race held in Chattanooga, Tennessee, starting atop Raccoon Mountain at Laurel Point. The 25-kilometer course traverses the north and western sides of the mountain, featuring trails such as Megawatt, Grindstone Ridge, Lower Chunky, Live Wire 1 & 2, High Voltage, and Split Rock. The race alternates direction annually, with the 2026 edition running counter-clockwise.
This cupless event includes two aid stations offering water, Gatorade, and snacks, requiring runners to carry their own hydration. All finishers receive a commemorative campfire mug.
