About the race
Stump Jump 50K & 10 Miler, staged by Bad Beard Events, is held on Signal Mountain near Chattanooga, Tennessee. The race offers 50K and 10-mile distances on a 90% single-track course along Signal Mountain and Walden Ridge, with jaw-dropping views of the Tennessee River Gorge, cascading streams, hemlock and rhododendrons. Described as the Southeast’s premier trail event, it features well-marked, well-supported trails and a friendly local trail-running community.
Highlights include on-site shoe demos by La Sportiva and Rossignol, generous aid stations, a post-race meal, and free beer. Proceeds support Signal Mountain Athletics and Chattanooga Cave and Cliff Rescue; camping is available at the start/finish. All races start and finish at the Signal Mountain Soccer Fields.
