Badger Mountain Challenge : March 27-28, 2026
The Badger Mountain Challenge is an ultramarathon event held in Richland, Washington, on March 27-28, 2026. Races take place on and around the Badger Mountain Preserve, which was established in 2005 and provides trails and views of the Columbia Basin. The event is hosted by the Nomad Trail Runners of Eastern Washington and is a USATF sanctioned event.

The ruck divisions require participants to carry a backpack weighing between 20 and 30 pounds, not including water or food; ruck finishers receive a custom Badger rucking patch. The 50-mile, 100K, and 100-mile races start on the first day, with the 55k and 15k on the second day. The event includes post-race food and a finish-line party. Proceeds are directed to Friends of Badger Mountain, Washington Trails Association, and Girls on the Run. The race offers a scholarship for eligible students. Volunteers receive a race shirt and future race entry or reduced entry fees for longer distances. Sponsors include local businesses such as McCurley Subaru and Runners Soul.
