Event overview
The Baker Trail UltraChallenge in Godfrey, PA is a 50-mile ultramarathon run on the Baker Trail. Individuals and relay teams of up to five members may register. Finishers who complete the course within a fourteen-hour cutoff receive one piece of a unique three-piece medal; completing all three annual sections of the series earns a commemorative holder for the full set. Course and logistics
The 2026 event covers the Northern section of the 134-mile Baker Trail in a scenic, point-to-point format that finishes at the Brookville Medothdist Church. The course includes about 6,200 feet of climbing, deep forest and single-track trail that overlap with the North Country Trail and pass through Cook Forest. The Baker Trail is marked with yellow blazes but also follows dirt and paved country roads in places; participants are advised that the route can leave roads abruptly and that missing blazes can lead to going off course. Three guided training runs in July will cover the entire 50-mile course; these runs are free and open to the public. Equity and inclusion policies remain in place, including a 50/50 gender spot reservation and guidelines for transgender, nonbinary, pregnancy, and adoption deferrals.
