Balloon Run

About the race

Balloon Run takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, during Balloon Fiesta weekend. The event offers a 10-mile course and a 5K, plus a Virtual 5K option, appealing to runners of different abilities. Runners traverse the scenic Bosque Rio Grande, with the Rio Grande and the Sandia Mountains providing a striking backdrop as balloons rise overhead.

Each participant receives a commemorative T-shirt and a balloon-shaped medal. A two-time Olympic warm-up lead adds excitement, and prizes go to the top finishers in each age group plus the best balloon-themed costume. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
