Barney's Run for Warriors
Barney's Run for Warriors is an annual running event held in Albany, Georgia, supporting K9s for Warriors, which provides service dogs to veterans. The 13th edition features USATF-certified 13.1-mile half marathon, 10K, and 5K races, along with a 1-mile fun run/walk. Special military categories are also offered for the 10K, 5K, and half marathon.
The courses are nearly flat, paved, and well-marked through Albany neighborhoods, with water stations and pit stops. Participants can run with their dogs in select events. Awards include cash prizes for overall winners and medals for age group finishers.
