Conservation Marathon
The Conservation Marathon is part of the Bass Pro Shops Fitness Series and is a Boston-qualifying marathon held in Springfield, Missouri on Sunday, November 2. The course runs through neighborhoods, several paved trails, part of historic Route 66, around Missouri State University and through downtown Springfield. The route is described as mostly flat with a few rolling hills. The race starts at Bass Pro Shops, 1935 S. Campbell Avenue, and finishes at the John A. and Genny Morris Conservation Center / Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium, 600 W. Sunshine.

Packet pickup is scheduled during the Marathon Weekend Expo at the John A. and Genny Morris Conservation Center on Friday, October 31 (2 PM - 6 PM) and Saturday, November 1 (10 AM - 6 PM); there is no race-morning packet pickup. Each registered participant receives a race shirt and finishers receive a medal; medal engraving is available for purchase after the race. Aid stations with water and Powerade are located approximately every two miles, with additional nutrition items listed for specific miles. A bag check with clear-bag requirement is provided at the start and gear pickup at the finish. The marathon course follows a rolling reopening schedule based on a 6.5-hour pace and will officially close on a rolling schedule beginning 15 minutes after the start.
