Battle by the Brook

Battle by the Brook is the 8th annual YMCA Camp Shady Brook Adventure Race at Camp Shady Brook in Deckers, Colorado. The event offers three divisions: Competitive Race (~20 miles) featuring 8 miles of single-track biking, 3 miles of elevation-gain hiking, and 9 miles of running and orienteering; a Family Race (~6 miles) with bike or hike/run options; and the ARC'TERYX MINI-SERIES, allowing teams to count two RMAS races toward a grand prize. Teams of 1–4 compete in navigation, cross-country running/hiking, mountain biking, paddling, and other challenges.

The day includes a swag bag, campfire with smores, vendor raffle, and a post-race cookout; proceeds benefit YMCA camp programs. USARA-sanctioned. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
