The Battle of the Bean 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Red Bridge Shopping Center in South Kansas City. The event includes a 5K Run/Walk, a Jelly Bean Dash for children aged 1 to 9, and a virtual 5K option. On-course awards are planned for age groups and overall finishers in the 5K. Finishers medals are provided to 5K participants. The Jelly Bean Dash entry includes a race t-shirt and a finishers medal.
Logistics and policies
The race location is 11128 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, January 16, at the Running Well Store, 200 E. 135th Street, Martin City; participants may pick up their own packet and the packets of other registrants. Organizers note that leftover packets and shirts will be taken to the race site, but shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed if a packet is not picked up. Parking is available at the shopping center; participants are asked to use the back areas of the lots. Registration fees are non-refundable. The charity partner is listed as TBD.
