Bayshore Marathon

The Traverse City Track Club presents the 44th Bayshore running events on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, May 23, 2026, in Traverse City, Michigan. The event was founded in 1983 and features multiple races along the shores of Grand Traverse Bay and the Old Mission Peninsula. Registration for the 2026 events opens December 1, 2025 at 9 AM EST. Entry fields for the races are limited. Net proceeds support club membership and local community programs through grants, scholarships, and planned giving; charitable giving to date has exceeded $2.5 million. Races and course details

• Full Marathon: USATF certified out-and-back course starting on the grounds of Northwestern Michigan College, running along the East Arm of Grand Traverse Bay. Flat and paved.
• Half Marathon: USATF certified point-to-point course. Runners are bused to the start at Devil’s Dive Road; the route joins Bluff, Center Road, and East Shore Drive back to the finish.
• 10K: Out-and-back route that includes one mile of residential streets and follows the marathon course along the west shore of East Grand Traverse Bay. The course is flat, fully paved, and shaded along much of the route.
• Kids’ Marathon (1.2 miles): A flat, paved loop for K–5 students that starts at the official Bayshore start, passes through the NMC campus, and finishes at the event finish line; the course is marshaled throughout.
