Beacon Bonfire 10K : Event overview
The Beacon Bonfire 10K is a trail race held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Beacon, New York, as part of the Beacon Bonfire Music + Arts Festival. The event distance is 10K and the course goes up Mt. Beacon to the firetower, then returns via paths in the Hudson Highlands.
Course, rules and amenities
The course follows rugged, technical trails with a mix of fast runnable sections, steep scrambles, and challenging descents. Runners will pass scenic overlooks and fall foliage on the route. Chip timing is provided by Super Race Systems. Organizers require runners to carry hydration and sufficient fuel and advise dressing for changing weather. There is a 3-hour cutoff and typical finish times are expected to be in the 1–3 hour range.
Post-race provisions include refreshments and bites at the start and finish. Every entrant receives an exclusive race t-shirt; finishers receive a cookie-style finisher item, and awards include passes to the Beacon Bonfire festival and other prizes.
