2026 Belle Haven 5k & 10k
The event takes place on February 21, 2026, at Belle Haven Park in Alexandria, VA. It offers two distances:
- 5k
- 10k
The course is paved with minimal elevation change and follows the Mount Vernon Trail with views of the Potomac River, forest, and swamp areas. Walkers and strollers are welcome. A virtual race option is available for those who cannot attend in person. Points from the event count toward the organizer’s year-long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series and the Winter Series. Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt, and official chip timing.
Course, logistics, and fees
The 5k is an out-and-back along the Mount Vernon Trail. The 10k follows the 5k route and continues another 1.55 miles before a second turnaround. Water stations: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
- 10k: four stations at about 0.9, 2.5, 4, and 5.55 miles
- 5k: two stations at about 0.9 and 2.5 miles Gatorade will be available at some stations. Packet pickup is available at the event; there is no on-site race registration. T-shirts are guaranteed to registrants before February 11. Registration fees listed are $30 for the 5k and $45 for the 10k through January 31, with higher rates after that date. Live results will be posted and final results with series points will be posted the Monday after the race. The event supports the Paws of Honor charity for retired service K9s.
