Berryman 50 Mile and Marathon Trail Races
The Berryman 50 Mile and Marathon Trail Races take place at Berryman Campground in the Mark Twain National Forest near Potosi, Missouri. The event features two distances: a 50-mile ultra and a marathon, both run on the historic 26.4-mile Berryman Trail loop. The marathon covers one loop, while the 50-mile race requires two loops of this forested, hilly single-track trail with 2,500 feet of elevation gain per loop.
The course includes rocky terrain, roots, and stream crossings. Aid stations are spaced every 5-6 miles, offering hydration and snacks. The race emphasizes environmental care with a cup-free policy, requiring runners to carry their own hydration.
Post-race festivities include a BBQ for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
