Bird-in-Hand Half Marathon
Bird-in-Hand Half Marathon, held in Bird-in-Hand in Lancaster County Amish Country, offers a Half Marathon and 5K Run. The race is known for a rural atmosphere and scenic course through Amish farmland with rolling hills and horse-drawn buggies, including the off-the-grid 'Valley of No Wires' segment. The event features a coveted Horseshoe medal reflecting the community and course, 12 water/rest stations, and supportive locals.
Pre- and post-race experiences include a Friday night bonfire with s’mores and a Saturday post-race picnic; tech shirts are included with registration. Proceeds benefit Hand-in-Hand Fire Company; a Fire Company Challenge offers combined discounts for both races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
