The 24th Annual Black Canyon Triathlon, held in Montrose, Colorado, is a well-supported sprint distance triathlon attracting about 200 athletes annually. The event features divisions for youth, adults, teams, youth teams, and family teams, with participants ranging from ages 6 to 70+. The swim takes place in a heated pool, followed by a bike ride on paved city streets and county roads, and a run on paved sidewalks and neighborhood streets.

Distances vary by age group, with youth swimming 100-500 yards and biking 5-22 km, while adults swim 500 yards, bike 22 km, and run 5 km. Proceeds benefit the Montrose community through the Montrose Recreation Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
