About the race
Black Copperhead Sting is an ultramarathon held in Belmont, North Carolina at Rocky Branch Park. The event offers 50K, 25K, and 5K distances and marks its 8th year returning to the area. The course is a 3.24-mile trail loop with about 293 feet of elevation gain per lap, following Trailhead, Canopy, Eagle, and Tread Trails and flagged with red ribbons and arrows.
The race finishes at Rocky Branch Park and features a fully stocked aid station with water, Tailwind, soda, and food; handmade pottery medals by BlueGill Pottery.
