Black Copperhead Sting 50k
The Black Copperhead Sting 50K is an ultramarathon held annually at Rocky Branch Park in Belmont, North Carolina. Now in its sixth year, this event features a challenging 50K course along scenic trails including the Catawba Thread Trail, Beaver Run Trail, Eagle Trail, and Legacy Trail, with an elevation gain of 293 feet per loop. The race offers additional distances of 25K and 5K.
Aid stations provide a variety of snacks and hydration options. Unique handmade pottery medals are awarded to finishers. The race emphasizes safety with clear bib visibility, no trekking poles allowed, and a 10-hour cutoff time.
