Event overview
The Blue Ducky 5K Waddle is in its third year. The event is held in remembrance of a woman who helped save eight people through organ, eye, and tissue donation. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Chris Klug Foundation.

Location and course
The event is based at Tickfaw State Park, 27225 Patterson Rd, Springfield, LA. The course runs on the park main entrance road, using the side of the road and grass area for an out-and-back of 1.55 miles each way. Participants pass a water area and finish near the River Trail head. Bathrooms are located next to the start and finish.
Entry, services and rules
Registration opens on December 1, 2025. Race entry is $45 and covers entry and event swag; a portion of proceeds will go to the Chris Klug Foundation. All participants receive a shirt and sunglasses, plus fruit salad and a breakfast sandwich. Awards are given to the top male and top female finishers after the final participant completes the course. Strollers and dogs are not allowed on the course. Closed-ear headphones are discouraged; open-ear headphones are welcome. Refunds will not be issued for certain unforeseen circumstances. Start times may be adjusted for inclement weather and changes will be communicated via the event registration email. The Virtual 5K returns for its second year.
