Event overview
The BOTTOMLESS TRIATHLON is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Bottomless Lakes State Park, 945 Bottomless Lakes Road, Roswell, NM 88203. The race was established in 1984 at Bottomless Lakes State Park. The event has been described as the birthplace of the Triathlon Junior Olympics (1990s) and has served as a qualifying event for the inaugural ITU Youth (Junior B) World Championships.
Solo and relay competitors complete a super sprint course that includes:
- 1/4 mile swim
- 8 mile bike
- 4 km run
Entries, categories, and race proceeds
The event offers multiple race options: Individual Triathlon, a 2- or 3-person coed relay, and an Under-18 Individual Triathlon open to ages 11-17. Listed entry fees at the time of posting are $45 for the Individual Triathlon (increasing after the first 10 registrants), $90 for the coed relay, and free for the first five Under-18 solo athletes (Under-18 entry increases after the first five). Registration opens April 14, 2026. Athlete check-in is organized at a host hotel (Candlewood Suites) the day before and in the transition area at Bottomless Lakes State Park on race day.
