Boyne City Independence Day Run

The Boyne City Independence Day Run, held in downtown Boyne City, Michigan, is a festive event along the scenic shores of Lake Charlevoix. Scheduled for July 4, 2025, it features professionally timed 5 Mile and 2 Mile Run/Walk events, replacing the previous 10K with a shorter 5 Mile course to improve race management and allow participants to enjoy the town’s Independence Day parade. With up to 1,200 participants, the race offers a family-friendly atmosphere, supporting the local fireworks show through its proceeds.

Participants can choose to register with or without a commemorative race t-shirt. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
