Breakneck Point is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026, at University Settlement Camp (USC), 30 Cp Lp Rd, Beacon, NY. The event offers two distances:
- ~14.5 miles (half)
- ~26.5 miles (full)
Entry includes the race, post-race food, a Patagonia Cap Cool short sleeve shirt, and a finisher item (Ragged Cuts medal). Total event capacity is set at 550 entrants across both distances. The event has a no-refund policy; entrants may switch distances up until one week before race day. Roll-overs to future years or other organizer events are permitted only if organizers are notified 30 days or more before race day.
Course and logistics
The course covers jeep trails, single-track, historic estate paths, and winding technical single-track with significant elevation gain and loss. Approximate climbing totals are ~4,800 feet for the half and ~9,000 feet for the full. Route maps and GPX files exist for both distances. Aid stations are placed as follows: Half - Cold Spring (~7.3 miles); Full - Cold Spring (~7.3 miles), University Settlement Camp (~14.4 miles), Sunnyside (~19.8 miles). Aid station provisions include Tailwind, water, Coke, Huma Gel (while supplies last), pretzels, cookies, fruit, and peanut butter/jelly. Crew support is allowed only at official aid stations and pacing by crew is not permitted. Informal on-site camping at Settlement Camp is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and is offered as an add-on during registration.
