Breakneck Point Trail Runs
Breakneck Point Trail Runs, hosted by Red Newt Racing, take place at University Settlement Camp in Beacon, New York. The event offers two challenging distances: a half marathon of approximately 14.5 miles with 4,800 feet of elevation gain, and a full marathon of about 26.4 miles with 9,000 feet of gain. The course features steep, technical terrain including jeep trails, single-track, historic estate paths, and the signature Breakneck Point climb—renowned for its difficulty and stunning panoramic views.
Known as one of the toughest trail marathons in the Northeast, the race demands experience and preparation due to exposure and technical pitches. Participants receive aid stations, post-race food, and commemorative gear. Camping is available on-site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
