Bridger Ridge Run
The Bridger Ridge Run is a challenging ~20-mile mountain foot-race along the crest of the Bridger Mountains near Bozeman, Montana. Organized by the Big Sky Wind Drinkers running club, this remote, technical race features unstable terrain, steep ascents and descents, and exposure to unpredictable weather. The route starts at Fairy Lake Trailhead (7,600' elevation) and traverses peaks including Sacagawea (9,650') and Saddle Peak (9,150'), finishing at the Fish Hatchery (4,900').
Aid stations are staffed by volunteers and provide water only; runners must carry their own supplies. The event limits participants to 250 via a lottery system and emphasizes community volunteering. Awards are given by gender and age groups, with a festive finish area offering food and socializing.
Proceeds support local youth scholarships and land trusts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
