Broken Brain Backyard

The Broken Brain Backyard is an ultradistance running event held at Loudy Simpson Park in Craig, Colorado. Scheduled for June 7, 2025, it features a unique backyard ultra format where participants run a 4.167-mile loop every hour on the hour until only one runner remains. The course is a rolling loop used both day and night.

Alongside the ultra, a more casual Citizen’s 4 Miler race allows participants to complete the same loop at their own pace. The event supports local Parkinson’s, ALS, and Alzheimer’s groups, offering quality swag like water bottles and running caps to all participants.
