Bronze Dragonfly 30 Hour Ultra
The Bronze Dragonfly 30 Hour Ultra is a multi-distance endurance running event held at Lake Mayer in Savannah, Georgia. Participants can choose from 3, 6, 12 (day or night), 24, or 30-hour races on a 1.4-mile USATF certified course featuring half paved and half rubberized track terrain. The event is chip timed and offers finisher medals for all who complete at least one lap, with special buckles awarded for those surpassing 100 miles.
Beyond competition, the race raises awareness and funds for mental health support in the community, inspired by Julia Backus Smith, a local running icon. The atmosphere emphasizes hope and transformation, symbolized by the dragonflies around the lake. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
