Buckeye Moon Trail Runs
The Buckeye Moon Trail Runs is a unique night trail running event held at Alum Creek State Park in Galena, Ohio. Scheduled for the evening of August 9, 2025, it offers four distance options: 7K, 13K, 20K, and 26K, run on a moderately rolling, wide-track loop trail alongside Alum Creek Reservoir. The course features LED lights for navigation and requires participants to wear headlamps or running lights.
Runners complete multiple laps depending on their chosen distance, passing a Celebration Area each lap. The event includes electronic chip timing, commemorative finisher medals, awards for top finishers, and optional race shirts. Ample parking is available at the nearby Galena Boat Ramp.
