The Buddy Christian Memorial 5K takes place on Friday, November 28, 2025, in Winterville, Georgia. The event includes an in-person 5K (3.1 miles) walk/run and a virtual 5K option. The course starts at Winterville Methodist Church, finishes in front of City Hall, and runs through adjacent neighborhoods. The event honors police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and directs proceeds to the Buddy Christian Memorial Foundation. Virtual participants must run the 3.1 miles on their own course and submit finish times by November 28, 2025. Virtual runners are not eligible for race day awards or t-shirts.
Registration, fees and awards
Standard registration lists a base fee of $25.00 plus a signup fee of $3.15. The base fee increases to $30.00 (with a $3.44 signup fee) after November 15, 2025. Registration for both in-person and virtual options closes on November 25, 2025. T-shirts are guaranteed to participants who pre-register by November 15, 2025 and are available afterward while supplies last. Packet pickup and race day registration are provided. Awards are given for Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female, and in five-year age groups from 10 and under up to 80 and over.
