The Burney Mountain 100 is a 100-mile endurance run held in Cassel, California on June 19, 2026. The course is a loop that starts and finishes at Burney Mountain Guest Ranch and passes through Lassen National Forest, the Thousand Lakes Wilderness, and the Burney Basin. The route includes about 15,000 feet of cumulative elevation gain and a mix of terrain from rocky ridgelines to forest floors. Scenic viewpoints along the course include views of Mount Lassen, Mount Shasta, the Hat Creek Rim, and extensive lava flows.
Logistics and services
Course maps are available on Gaia and Caltopo; a runner’s guide on the event website provides aid station, drop bag, crew, and pacer information. Dry camping at Burney Mountain Guest Ranch is provided for runners and crew for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, with the cost covered by the race organizer. Ranch accommodation upgrades are available with a $25 discount for runners. On-site amenities listed at the ranch include a restaurant, salt water pool, laundry, and corn hole. A post-race meal is provided for runners; the ranch restaurant will also be open for crew and pacers. The event’s stated policy is no refunds; registration may be deferred for any reason up to one week before the race, and entries may be transferred up to one day before the race.
