Event overview
The 17th Annual Butterball 5K is scheduled for Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Salisbury, NC. The event is a 5K run/walk with on-site registration available for a higher fee. Standard registration is listed at $30; day-of on-site registration is listed at $35. Race proceeds benefit Prevent Child Abuse Rowan and The Terrie Hess House. Race participants receive a t-shirt and prizes totaling more than $500 are reported.
Course, awards and logistics
The course starts and finishes at The Forum (2318 South Main Street) and follows South Main Street, Airport Road, Airport Loop Road, Red Acres Road, then back onto South Main Street to return to The Forum. Awards include top three overall male and female finishers and top three in each listed age group; overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Age groups span 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 plus. Timing and results are provided by Salisbury Rowan Runners. Organizers advise arriving well before the start to allow time for parking, packet pickup (check-in is upstairs), and restroom use.
