Calamity Triathlon
The Calamity Triathlon, held in Ketchikan, Alaska, is a multi-sport event featuring kayaking, running, and biking. The course highlights Ketchikan's State Parks, beginning with a 2-mile kayak leg from Totem Bight around Devil Island to Refuge Cove. Participants then run approximately 5 kilometers from Refuge Cove to D-Loop and back to Totem Bight.
The final segment is an 8-mile bike ride from Totem Bight to the finish at Settler's Cove. Competitors can participate solo or in men's, women's, or mixed teams. Kayak and bike rentals are available for the event, enhancing accessibility for participants.
