Camp Sunshine Run for the Sun : overview
The Camp Sunshine Run for the Sun takes place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Holland, Michigan. The event includes the following distances:

Registration prices listed are $30 for the 5k and $20 for the 1 mile event, with registration opening in late April 2026. The 5k will use the City of Holland 5k Route #3. Route maps and a 5k course PDF are available. Since 2009, the event has been used to raise awareness and support for Camp Sunshine. The Critter Barn and Polar Patrol are listed as participants at the event. Runners who reserved a t-shirt size by the deadline may pick up their shirts; a limited number of shirts will be available later on a first-come basis.
Location and logistics
The race takes place at Kollen Park, 240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland, MI 49423. Limited parking is available on the east end of Kollen Park where the race starts. Additional street parking is nearby, and parking is also available in the west area of Kollen Park near the boat launch. Bib pickup is located adjacent to the starting line in the east end of Kollen Park, near the playground and picnic pavilion.
